Hello, friends!

Wow, has it been an eventful month since we last talked! I’m happy to be able to bring you a ton of new updates!

Let’s start with the Spellbound news! Due to some recent developments, Spellbound had skipped over to a new editor who had more time in her schedule to get the revisions done quickly. I do still adore my original editor, and promised her first crack at Moonlight Market! But the process needed to move quickly than either of us anticipated because…

I have started querying agents! For those not familiar with the publishing process, this is like sending out job applications to be hired by a professional who will sell your book to a publisher. I don’t choose them, they choose me; and that’s why the process is such a nail-biter. You may have noticed that I’m a little…unique. To have to send out a letter that lets that uniqueness out, without coming at them like a fire hose is a balancing act I’m not at all sure of.

Still, I’ve got 20 letters in, and that’s just the first 5 letters of the alphabet worth of agencies. Wish me all the luck!

Also of note, NicoleFordThomas.com has been resurrected from the grave! With the querying and such, it seemed like the right time to A) have a website again, and B) rebrand! While I’m not sure yet how either will go, it’ll be a fun project to work on over the winter.

And finally, with the mass exodus of people running screaming from the flaming dumpster fire that is Twitter, I joined up at Bluesky! I’m still learning the ropes, but if you’re also making the leap, grab as many raccoons as your arms can carry and join me over there!
